Abe led underground utility work at the executive level before founding Hunter Specialty. Drainage structures, catch basins, and underground utilities, taken from a failed structure through to restored pavement. This work gets judged on what the surface looks like after it goes back, so that is the part we don't rush.
Stages of the same kind of work, start to finish. The photos below are from drainage and catch basin jobs where the surface had to go back the way it came up.
Old brick barrel, mortar gone, walls starting to come in. This is usually what a sinking spot in a lot turns out to be.
Pavement saw cut square, structure dug out, cones and plate ready. Keeping the cut clean is what makes the patch look right later.
New precast barrel set and seated. Spoil kept on boards so the surrounding surface goes back the way it was found.
Frame and grate set to final grade, then backfilled and compacted in lifts.
Binder and top course in, grate sitting flush. The part the client actually sees.
